While it may have been stripped of its world record title the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport still clocks in an impressive 0-60 miles in 2.4 seconds. A Narrow Angle 8 Litre W16 Engine makes it eye wateringly fast yet it also comes with a sky-high price tag of US$2,400,000.

3. Koenigsegg Agera R – 260 mph
With its 5.0 litre twin turbo V8 Engine and 1099 HP potential this purpose built snow car may look sleek but it’s is packed full of grunt. If you want to get your hands on one you’ll need to be willing to part with a cool US$1,600,000.

4. SSC Ultimate Aero -257 mph
Would you believe it? We’ve got two cars drawing for fourth place! First up is the SSC Ultimate Aero which set its Guinness World Record back in 2007. It can hit 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and will have your head spinning with its Twin-Turbo V8 Engine.

4. 9ff GT9-R – 257 mph
Rivalling the SSC Ultimate Aero is the 9ff GT9-R. Inspired by the Porsche 911, this lighting fast model offers drivers a 4.0 litre flat-6 Twin-Turbo Engine, 1120 HP and the option of a customised exterior.

5. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo – 248 mph
Sleek, streamlined and oh so sexy, this model is definitely not one for the feint hearted. But it doesn’t come cheap and you’ll need to be willing to fork out US$555,000 for the custom built Twin Turbo Aluminium V8 Engine.

6. Koenigsegg CCX – 245 mph
This Swedish made car is packed full of state-of-the-art features, most notably its 90 Degree V8 Engine which generates 806 HP and propels the vehicle from 0-60 in just 3.2 seconds.
