Attending Motor Trade Events in 2013

The motor trade industry has gone through many ups and downs in 2012, and with the economic climate not looking to stabilise any time soon it is expected to be just as unpredictable this year. It is therefore wise for motor traders to keep up with industry news and events that can give you information on not only the motor trade market, but also new vehicle production, technology advances and motor trade insurance policies. Here we look at some of 2013 events for the motor trade industry that we are sure you will not want to miss!

The AM Awards 2013 – Wednesday 20th February

This award ceremony is coming up soon so make sure you book as soon as possible! The awards will be held at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham and will honour those that have achieved greatness throughout the year. Categories include Excellence in Customer Service, Most Improved Company of the Year, Best Dealership plus many more. This event will be of keen interest to all motor traders as it will set the standards for the industry for the upcoming year, and could also provide valuable information on how to improve your business!

Fleet News Awards 2013 – Wednesday 20th March

Fleet News magazine hosts this awards ceremony yearly, and for commercial vehicle dealers that specialist in fleet sales it is definitely one not to be missed. The event will be held at Grosvenor House in London, and will be attended by some of the most influential fleet services providers in the business. Awards will be presented for not only those that work in the industry, but also for vehicles, including Best Executive Car, Best Estate Car and Best Premium Car, meaning that motor traders may get a good idea of which vehicles to invest in for the year ahead.

SEMA 2013 – Tuesday 5th to Friday 8th November

Whilst this one may be later on in the year, it is held in the USA, so for those really wanting to attend it may be wise to start saving up now! The SEMA Show will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre and provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, networking opportunities and much more. Whilst it may be an expensive investment, those that attend will surely come away with an in depth knowledge of the motor trade industry which could benefit them all the way through to 2014!

Attending events can be great fun, and can also provide networking opportunities that could help your business in the future. There are plenty more events throughout the UK, Europe, and even the rest of the world in 2013, so make sure you investigate and find the right one for you!
